Stephanie J. Jones

Stephanie joined McCurdy & Candler, LLC in August of 2020 and practices in the firm’s real estate department. Stephanie grew up in Jacksonville, Florida, graduating from Florida State University in 2003 and Stetson University College of Law in 2008. She moved to Atlanta after graduating law school and fell in love with the city, eventually settling in Decatur about a mile from the Square. She loves being walking distance not only to the office, but also the amazing restaurants and boutiques Decatur has to offer.

Stephanie started her legal career as a staff attorney at Atlanta Legal Aid Society before transitioning to private practice, first focusing on real estate litigation and now real estate closings. She loves the opportunity to meet new people in the closing room and being a part of the exciting experience of homebuying! Stephanie particularly enjoys working with first-time purchasers, helping to make the closing day as smooth and enjoyable as possible.

In her free time, Stephanie enjoys baking (her specialty is Rosemary Butter cookies), attending Orangetheory Fitness classes, spoiling her cat, and spending time in the great outdoors, hiking and camping. She serves as a DeKalb County Court Appointed Special Advocate (DeKalb CASA) volunteer, helping advocate for foster children under the jurisdiction of the DeKalb County Juvenile Court.
